Perfect

I have a 2007 Mazda 6 i. I had 2 different locksmiths try to program the fob part of their fobs and could not do it. 1 tried manually and 1 had plugged something into the OBD port. I don't think they did it correctly. I had fob overnighted which fed ex failed to deliver by the noon time frame, 2 hours late, but I was able to program the fob part in 30 seconds, first try, not a single hiccup, took to the locksmith to program the key to the ignition and I'm all set. Here was my process.... 1. unlock open driver door-leave open 2. hit lock then unlock on the door 3. put key in ignition, turn to run but don't start, then back to off, do this 3 times (run, off - run off - run off) 4. close drivers door and open 3 times, (close, open - close open - close open) 5. the system will do a lock and unlock itself to confirm its in learning mode, 6. press the lock button 2 times, wait 2 seconds, hit lock button on remote 2 more times, the car will go through a few locks and unlocks. 7. remove key from ignition, car will do a couple more lock and unlocks to confirm its out of learning mode, get out, close door, hit lock button on fob to see if it works. Check trunk button and unlock button, panic button for proper operations. I think were the locksmith missed was starting by hitting lock and then unlock on the drivers door then put the key in the ignition. The old fob no longer works but is reprogrammable the same way, before removing the key from the ignition, hit the lock button on your existing and till pair also, I did not do this on mine because it was busted up and went through batteries like 1 ever 5 weeks. Happy Camper!
