I bought this preemptively to extend the life of my remote. Other reviews I've read complained that it was a very tight fit, however, mine behaved like real leather when I used a leather preservative to increase its flexibility, so this may help you as well, so long as the thing isn't drenched to such a degree that it runs under the buttons and fries the electronics when you go to slip it over your remote. If you're considering buying this, or a rubber cover for your remote, or both, this will be better if it's the buttons that you wish to preserve. The rubber cover (that I bought, at least) is better at preventing accidental button presses, and shielding the main body from wear. Using both at once is doable, but pressing the buttons will not be easy.
